Time Lapse photography

Time lapse photography is a subject most people are aware of but have little knowledge of the technique used and the simplicity of making a film from the results.

Darren’s presentation made the subject easy and the only additional piece of equipment was an electronic timer. The software packages were free-ware and the results were excellent. This was a practical session which proved to be both interesting and informative.

Exploring lines and patterns in nature. Looking at fruit and other common items using a light-box to produce backlit photographs.

Most members brought a camera and associated equipment into the meeting to make this practical session both interesting and informative.

A teach-in on Wild Life Photography

Darren had obtained a video that discussed the problems of photographing wild life in all environments - from the planes of Africa to the local zoo and wild park. Many found it interesting and the the examination of different techniques, camera equipment with setting and times-of-day was both thought provoking and useful

This was an interesting and informative evening.

A Historic Walk through Ramsey

Jim Aston who is Chairman of the Ramsey Community Archive talked and showed photographs of the ever changing Ramsey Town starting back in 1880 & coming forward in time. With the aid of new & old photographs, it became obvious how many of today’s buildings & landmarks have changed over time and how the town developed after the Fen drainage project began.

This was a popular, interesting and informative presentation.
